Terms of Use for Sanctum+

 

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

 

By accessing or using the Sanctum+ social media and chat platform, including all associated services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("ToU"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you must not use the Service.

 

2. User Accounts and Eligibility

 

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Sanctum+. By agreeing to these ToU, you represent that you meet this requirement.

  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Sanctum+ immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

  • Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information when registering and keep this information updated.

 

3. Community Guidelines & Content Rules

 

Sanctum+ is a platform open to all, with a focus on respectful and uplifting communication. While the platform is not exclusive to religion, all users must adhere to the following principles:

  • Respect and Decency: You agree not to post, share, or promote any content that is hateful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or threatening.

  • No Illegal Activity: You must not use the Service for any illegal activities or to promote illegal acts.

  • No Adult Content: The posting or promotion of explicit or mature adult content, pornography, or sexually explicit materials is strictly prohibited.

  • Intellectual Property: You must not post content that infringes on the copyright or intellectual property rights of others.

 

4. Pages Feature (E-Commerce and Business)

 

The "Pages" feature allows users to promote businesses, sell items, display art, and request quotes. By using this feature, you agree to the following additional terms:

  • Responsibility for Sales: Sanctum+ is not a party to any transaction conducted through a user-created Page. The Page creator (Seller) is solely responsible for all aspects of the transaction, including product quality, legality, shipping, fulfillment, warranties, and customer service.

  • Quotes and Pricing: If you offer quotes, you must honor the agreed-upon pricing and terms specified to the requesting user.

  • Prohibited Items/Services: Pages must not be used to sell or promote illegal goods, weapons, controlled substances, pornography, or items that violate the Sanctum+ Community Guidelines.

  • Taxes and Regulations: Sellers are solely responsible for calculating, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes (e.g., sales tax, VAT) applicable to their transactions and for complying with all relevant local, state, and federal laws.

  • Disputes: Any disputes between a Buyer and a Seller must be resolved directly between those parties. Sanctum+ may, but is not obligated to, offer limited assistance in mediating disputes.

 

5. Intellectual Property and Content License

 

  • Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the content you submit to the Service.

  • Sanctum+ License: By posting content, you grant Sanctum+ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform that content in connection with the Service and the promotion thereof. This license ends when you delete your content or account, unless your content has been shared with others who have not deleted it.

  • Sanctum+ IP: All content, graphics, user interface, design, and software used on Sanctum+ (excluding user-submitted content) are the proprietary property of Sanctum+ or its licensors.

 

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

 

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Sanctum+ makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Service, including, but not limited to, the accuracy, reliability, or quality of content or user-generated transactions.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

 

Sanctum+ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of the Service.

  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service (including transactions via Pages).

  • Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content or account.

 

8. Indemnification

 

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sanctum+ and its officers, directors, and partners from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:

  • Your use of the Service.

  • Your violation of these ToU.

  • Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.

  • Any transaction or dispute arising from your use of the Pages feature.

 

9. Changes to Terms

 

Sanctum+ reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these ToU at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

 

10. Governing Law

 

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of The State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
